What we've noticed
Over the past 25 years we've read most of the expert's books and found them to be inspiring and helpful. These folks really know what they're talking about and they understand the way to succeed.
However, most business books are educational in nature. Their purpose is to develop and explain a concept that is important to the success of a business. The author is an academic or consultant who has ideas and experience to share. Many of these books are good, but they suffer from the same problem - namely the challenge for the reader of implementing the concept.
Unless everyone in a business reads the book and accepts the new concept, there is interesting discussion but little action is taken that makes a difference.
