Best Year Yet Security

PRO employs the same technical and procedural standards that most banking and e-commerce sites use to protect your data.  These procedures include:

Customer ID and Passwords
PRO user data is protected by login security that requires a valid username and password to access online resources.  Depending on the application, Best Year Yet uses one of the following methods to provide a secure login

• Multiple Logins
• Strong Passwords created by each individual user

Encrypted Data Transmission
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is the Internet standard for encrypting data transmissions and authenticating information about the certificate owner.  SSL is used to secure data on e-commerce and banking websites.  Every page in PRO uses High-grade Encryption techniques (RC4 128 bit) certified by Equifax.  There are two ways to identify when SSL is being used to encrypt data transmissions

• The beginning of the website address changes from "http://" to "https://"
• The padlock symbol is displayed in the status bar of your browser

Timed Log-off
In order to provide a seamless experience between page views, PRO uses cookies and sessions to temporarily store limited information about you and your session.  Cookies are stored on your local computer.  No personal information is stored using cookies.  Session information is stored on the web server while you are using PRO.  This information is discarded after you log out of PRO or automatically after 20 minutes of inactivity.  This reduces the risk that others could access your information from your unattended computer.

Firewalls and Data Storage
Best Year Yet, LLC uses a professional web hosting company.  They have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under their control.  The website server is protected by a firewall that they maintain.  PRO uses Microsoft SQL Server -- the number one enterprise database system.  It provides secure storage of data.  The PRO database is protected by a unique username and password.  All "pages" in PRO consist of templates filled by data delivered when a page is requested.  Client data is therefore not stored in discrete pages that can be searched.
